Bengals Blow Past Simon Fraser, 66-14

The Idaho State football team beat Simon Fraser 66-14 on Saturday at Holt Arena. Idaho State is 3-3 for the second straight season while Simon Fraser is 1-5. The 66 points is the most ISU has scored in a game since beating Colorado College 77-8 in 1960.

Idaho State had a school-record 770 total yards on offense while Simon Fraser had 335.

Hagen Graves(SHS Class of 2014)and Xavier Finney each scored two touchdowns. Graves caught five passes for 92 yards and his brother, Tyler, caught seven balls for 86 yards. KW Williams caught eight passes for 129 yards and one touchdown.

Justin Arias passed for 404 yards and tied a Holt Arena record with five touchdown passes.

Kamino Ward and Vai Peko had interceptions while Mario Jenkins and Sage Warner recovered fumbles. The Bengal defense held Simon Fraser to 13 yards rushing on 26 carries.

The Bengals jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter.

ISU led 42-0 at halftime and 52-0 after a Zak Johnson 43-yard field goal with 1:27 left in the third quarter before Simon Fraser scored the first of its two touchdowns in the final period.

Jakori Ford scored two fourth quarter touchdowns with 72 and 69 yard runs.

Idaho State returns to Big Sky Conference play next week when it hosts Southern Utah on October 18. Kickoff is at 2:35 p.m.
